I lost a $100,000 sale last month and here’s what I would have done different to win it: Nothing. I did everything right. And I wasn’t the best fit. I agree with the client on that. They’re still my friends, I am still going to pursue a future relationship with them, and I will win their business one sweet day. Or not… That’s okay too And that’s the attitude of a Rebel It’s why we win more and develop better I will try things a little bit differently with the next sale because of it I will work harder to better understand what’s working and what’s not in my process And I will always strive to do my absolute best and believe that I did no matter what the outcome More sellers should be Rebels… Why? I’ve got a friend who sold 2 biz’s for $1-2million each Here are the 5 things he taught me: - You don’t need to be the best to sell for $1-$2mil - You just need a big TAM and carve out your slice - Pick niches that aren’t seasonal - Pick a unique value prop different than everyone else - It’s easier to sell a biz for $2mil then for $10mil. His goal is to sell 1 every 2 years. The point of this? It’s always good to know how others are playing the game.

Last week, for the third week in a row, the number of new listings actually outpaced the number of sales, albeit by a small margin (533 vs. 529). This is the first time we have seen this happen for 3 consecutive weeks, since an 8 week run from September through November, 2022.
