Ask questions until you are annoying. Someone with nothing to hide will not be annoyed. They’ll be excited to share. It is too easy for “facts, numbers, and statistics” to be misrepresented by the omission of all the information. What you aren’t being told is often more important than what you are being told. On the flip side, answer questions until there are no more questions. Be an open book.

To all those reading and writing souls who, like me, have found unparalleled pleasure in books from a very young age. For all those books we've read that have left a lasting mark on us. For those books we've read more than once, and will probably read at least once more before leaving this world. For those books we've lent out and never got back, or whose trail we lost in moves and other twists of life, yet still remember. For those books lying on bookshelves, desks, closets, or even on the floor when there's no more space, waiting their turn to be read. For those books whose authors we know personally and who inspire us with their lives and pages. For those books we carry on trips, that will move with us in a relocation, and for those that will stay behind, temporarily or permanently, finding another home. For those books lying within us, patiently awaiting their turn to be written and published. For those we may never publish, but will remain alive within us. And for those people who read, who write, who open their hearts to share that message with the world. For those people I have helped and will help to write their book. THANK YOU! PS: Also, with excitement, I share that I have finished the first chapter of my first book 🥰 I will continue to share more about this exciting journey. 😉

Fridays are usually quiet and a time for me to deep-dive into writing, projects, strategy, etc. I also look forward to Ron Charles' The Washington Post books newsletter. This week he's talking about efforts to keep history accurate and less biased. It really hit me as a publicist who previously fielded several Fact Check inquires a week, and has only received one in the past three years. If you are interested in history, current events, and ideas through the lens of books, I highly recommend it. It's a great way to end my week. #books #bookpublishing #newspapers https://lnkd.in/gijBqzmn?

Book Coach | Creating Profile-Raising Books With Busy Industry Experts | Sunday Times Bestselling Ghostwriter 👻 | Author
You'll probably always remember the first time you see your book's cover or the pages beautifully typeset. Holding the first copy in your hands, seeing it on a bookshop shelf, or celebrating your launch with loved ones are some of the other memorable moments. All of them will stay with you, and you'll fully realise that all the hours of work led to that moment in time – the one you had pictured but couldn't quite fully grasp. Lasting memories don't happen often, but with a book, there are a few of them. It keeps on giving over the months or even years. I'll always remember when I wandered into a Waterstones in Amsterdam a year after my first books were released and saw two on the shelf. I'd seen them in the UK before but never abroad. It was a completely surreal experience, and I knew something magical had happened that day. What are you most looking forward to experiencing when it comes to your book? P.S. there are still some spaces available on my Author Accelerator, the six-week course to begin writing your nonfiction book, just send a message for more details. #nonfictionbookcoach #onlinewritingcourse #authoraccelerator _____________________ 💫 Creating profile-raising books with busy industry experts 🔔 If you'd like to see my writing tips, then press the bell on my page 📚 Send a message to find out how you can work with me 1:1 on your book

Let’s be honest…we judge books by their covers📚. But what happened to loving the essence of books beyond the aesthetics? While visually appealing feeds are undeniably enticing, too many of us are forgetting the true purpose of our bookish journey: 📕The simple pleasure of reading something we enjoy 📗Connecting with fellow book lovers 📘Getting lost in worlds and living hundreds of lives in one It’s time we break free from our perceived burden of perfection. It’s time to share your messy bookshelves, admit you don’t have 12 special editions of one book, and can’t read 300 books a year. Reading shouldn’t be comparative. Reading should be fun…regardless of genre, format, cost, and time spent doing it.✨ What would happen if we all started posting our most well-loved books on hand-me-down shelves? Would it all come crashing down? Or would no one actually care?🤔 —————————————————— Sign up for our monthly newsletter where you’ll get book recs, author updates, games and more!💌 To join, simply click the link in our bio🔗
