We are delighted to share Auburn Group's recent collaboration with St Joseph's Care Home. The collaboration began with Auburn Group conducting a detailed assessment of the care home, focusing on: 🦺 Electrical and Mechanical Systems: Ensuring optimal function and adherence to safety standards. 👩🚒 Fire Safety Systems: A thorough review to guarantee resident safety. Building Integrity: Including crucial fire stopping measures. 🏡 Feasibility of a 22-Bed Wing Extension: Planning for future expansion to accommodate more residents. External Windows and Roof: Assessing for insulation, security, and weather protection. The first phase of refurbishment focused on the care home's back of house areas, particularly the kitchen and laundry rooms. Despite the challenges of working in a live environment, Auburn Group successfully modernised these critical areas with minimal disruption to the residents. This phase highlighted our expertise in not only construction but also in executing projects considerately in sensitive settings. This partnership between St Joseph's Care Home and Auburn Group underscores a commitment to enhancing the living conditions and safety of residents, showcasing a fusion of compassionate care with high-standard facilities. https://lnkd.in/ej5B9UKe #SustainableConstruction #OffSiteDevelopment #HealthCare #ExpertConsultants #SouthEastConstruction #GreenBuilding #InnovationInConstruction #BuildingForTheFuture #ConstructionExcellence #ConsultancyServices #ElectricalSafety #CareHomeRefurbishment #HealthcareRefurbishment #AuburnGroupSuccess #CareWithExcellence

By Jason Dunson RN, CHFM, REH, IICRC, CHESP At Advanced, we prioritize the upkeep of your buildings and workspaces. As new construction declines and renovation projects surge, it's vital to focus on maintaining aging buildings, particularly in California. How can Advanced help? First, you can follow us at Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. for the latest innovations and service offerings!!! Maintaining an aging building requires not only major repairs and upgrades but also diligent regular cleaning and light maintenance. Daily tasks such as dusting and wiping surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, and emptying trash bins are essential for preventing the accumulation of dust, dirt, and allergens. Weekly cleaning should include vacuuming carpets and rugs, thoroughly cleaning restrooms, and washing windows to ensure a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Monthly tasks like dusting high surfaces, deep cleaning kitchens and break rooms, and polishing wooden furniture help maintain cleanliness and protect finishes. Light maintenance is equally important. Regularly inspecting and replacing light bulbs, checking and cleaning HVAC filters, and inspecting plumbing fixtures for leaks or drips can prevent larger issues and improve efficiency. Exterior surfaces, including walls, windows, and doors, should be inspected and cleaned regularly, with pressure washing as needed to remove grime. Roof and gutter maintenance, including clearing debris and checking for damage, ensures proper drainage and prevents water damage. Safety equipment such as smoke detectors, fire alarms, and extinguishers should be tested routinely, with batteries replaced and equipment serviced as necessary. Entryways should be checked for proper operation, with hinges lubricated and weather stripping maintained to ensure security and energy efficiency. Addressing minor repairs promptly, such as fixing loose tiles or small cracks in walls, is crucial to prevent them from becoming major issues. Creating a maintenance schedule and keeping detailed records of all activities can help track the building’s condition and plan for future maintenance. Regular cleaning and light maintenance are essential for the longevity and functionality of aging buildings. By establishing a routine schedule and addressing issues promptly, you can keep your building in excellent condition, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for occupants. Consistent care helps prevent costly repairs and extends the life of the building’s infrastructure and systems. With careful planning and professional assistance from Advanced, your building can continue to serve its purpose and stand the test of time. #PreservingYourBuilding #AdvancedCares
