“Chris, from Chris, be more patient and persevere more” That’s the advice I’d give to the younger me I left my A-Levels after 1 year I sold my first business too early I job hopped in my 20’s when I had amazing roles and should have stuck them out I always ask all of my guests what advice they would give to the younger version of themselves. Over the years I can't even count the number of times I have heard the saying "the war for talent" I think it's used so quickly and frequently because some of the characteristics are true - success does depend on having the right team, always - you have to use stealth and intelligence to secure the best talent - the way you approach the mission matters I calibrate my purpose through various lenses. I've often talked about my passion for leading RedHolt as the head chef in a Michelin-star kitchen. I think it's healthy to step aside and talk about what we do with a fresh tone of voice. Heres my take using a tone appropriate to the "war for talent"

Congratulations 🏆 Egypt-based podcast production company TPP | The Potcast Productions has secured an undisclosed pre-seed funding round to help enhance its content production capabilities, scale its marketing efforts, and accelerate the development of new series. Founded in 2020 by Islam Adel, Potcast creates 15 diverse podcast programmes tailored to various target demographics, and has racked up seven million listens and over 600,000 viewing hours within the last six months. 230,000 content acquisition managers, content managers, and content license specialists are on LinkedIn. 140,000 of them have 10 to 30 years of experience (60%) They are also bound to be the more senior professionals driving the strategy I'd like to know the level of exposure to content from the creator economy among the 60% driving content acquisition strategies And of the 40% of professionals in content acquisition with less than 10 years of experience, how many are focused on creator led content identification And then, the general level of appetite to weave creator-led content into schedules Creator economy content carries a low cost and only a high cost to acquire once it is guaranteed to generate profits commensurate with the cost to acquire Generation Alpha, the youngest demographic, is just beginning to define its viewing characteristics. Kids 2-12 consume 81% of their content on YouTube As Gen Alpha grows, the gap between SVOD and YouTube is widening, with the difference between the two categories increasing from 14% to 19% in the last year alone. TikTok is also garnering an increasing amount of Gen Alpha’s attention, despite most of it technically not being old enough to have social media. TikTok’s consumption among Gen Alpha grew substantially in 2024 (44%), even surpassing linear TV (39%) Times are just changing; that's what happens The chance for streaming companies to embrace a blended approach to creator content and traditional content must exist. Streaming platform manufacturers certainly provide the opportunity in their functionality. Do content acquisition strategies need to evolve to make the change many broadcast companies need to see in their balance sheets?
