On this July 4th, I reflect on Lincoln‘s immortal words, especially the two words, “unfinished work”, which are as relevant today as in 1863. “It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us,that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion, that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

The relevance of the Ten Commandments varies; some find them valuable ethical guidelines, while others rely on secular principles. I consider the Ten Commandments to be universal, meaning they reflect a belief in their timeless moral principles.
Do we still need the Ten Commandments? In my opinion, the Old Testament's Ten Commandments are still applicable today. It was from the East that the sun arose when God created the cosmos. It still does today. Despite the fact that ideas and actions evolve over time, moral beliefs do not. Would you agree? The image of the Ten Commandments on a tablet.

DAY 15 COMMITTING IMMORALITY AND ITS COVENANT IMPLICATIONS! 5 JUDGES 16:16–19 Finally on the matter of the covenant implications of committing sexual immorality is the procurement of a covenant of dysfunctionalities in a destiny. It makes a person misappropriate their priorities to initiate displacement of responsibilities. Can you imagine as a father, a man falls into an adulterous relationship with another woman, spending so much that could have been invested to sponsor activities of prosperity. Or the students that totally forget that they came to school to pursue a productive future and not to be a promiscuous failure. It ensured that Samson was uprooting gates when he was supposed to be defending cities. MISPLACED PRIORITIES!!! What does this covenant introduced into a life? I. It introduces deadness of conscience to sin. 2. It silences perception to danger. 3. It kills sensible judgement WISDOM FOR LIFE To refuse promiscuity is to release productivity. PRAYER I receive deliverance from every form of destiny dysfunctionality, in Jesus mighty name. SCRIPTURE READING PROVERBS 15 and PSALM 71-75

The heart is heavy on so many levels. Why would otherwise rational people be so blind as to not just support but push for genocide? How can otherwise rational people be so blind to facts and analysis? How can so many people be so heartless demanding that an entire population be wiped out, a huge portion of them children? How can people be blinded to decades of occupation and caging a whole population in concentration camps? Unfathomable. And yet, we hypocritically do land acknowledgements to begin our talks. We name streets after MLK and Malcolm and Mandela. The same people who were decimated. The same people who were labeled as terrorists in their lifetime. I wonder how the history books will remember us 100 years from now for our words and stands today. Just unfathomable. The heart is heavy. But prayers never stop. For indeed God almighty is all wise and the best of planners. I plan to fast tomorrow and pray to God Almighty.

T-U-L-I-P states that the problem of the salvation of mankind and the necessity of that salvation is defined by five essential factors: T – Total Depravity; U – Unconditional Election; L – Limited Atonement; I – Irresistible Grace; P – Perseverance of Saints (not assurance of salvation which is a common perversion of the idea of T-U-L-I-P). We will show that some of these definitions are in direct contradiction with the Bible or otherwise misleading: therefore, the T-U-L-I-P statement is incorrect and will be stricken from our future conversation.

For those interested. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.
