Your first impression is everything.

Always get on the plane.

My friend sold his company for $1 billion. He pivoted in the darkness, toiled in obscurity and found a way to win. And his journey reminded me of a quote from Steve Jobs: "Everything around you that you call 'life' was made up by people who were no smarter than you." He invented something millions use. But he’d be the first to admit he’s no Albert Einstein. But you grow up conditioned to accept the world. You collect gold stars for completing homework. You graduate to become a "healthy" functioning member of society. But it creates a big problem. You are trained to accept your environment. Accept your circumstances. Accept experts filled with "facts". This well-intentioned training system tells you to wait your turn. Or play it "safe". But when you see a friend go from $0 to $1 billion. You realize the secret: You can do it too.
