When I was a little kid, we used to visit my grandmother every Sunday. She always had a small gift for us, nothing expensive, just a small present to occupy our minds. Sometimes it was a something to enjoy, sometimes it was something to learn from. My favorite, and the one I still remember was a 45 record she gave me of “Everyday People” from Sly and the Family Stone. I’m pretty sure as a child, it made little sense to me. Even now, how a 65 year old woman heard, or understood, the message of that song is beyond me. But she did, and thought it important enough to share. As I grew older, and experienced more of life, her message, and the song’s message became more and more clear. She wanted me to realize………….we are all the same. I’m no better and neither are you. “We got to live together.” I still learn from that. At MotionSource International we work with international customers every day. I’ve made friends with customers in Poland, Romania, Mexico, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Vietnam, the UK and Germany. We all clumsily weave the same fabric of life, we’re no different. We all do our best for those we call family. No one is better than me, nor am I better than anyone else. We’re all in this together, and if we’re lucky, we make an impression on this world and maybe someone we otherwise wouldn’t. Few of us will ever have the power to bend history. But if we remember to respect one another, we can change the world. As Steve Jobs told us, “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” Let’s do this together, all of us everyday people. #learn #inspiration

Thanks Chip Hautala, I’m going to listen to this song as I drive my 15 year old son over to the farm for work this morning.
