Expert on Fragile States, Societies, & Communities

Here is a great tool for assessing neighborhood resources developed by the Child Poverty Action Lab (CPAL) in #Dallas. It draws a 2-mile radius around each of the city's schools and provides detail on the economic, education, family, health, and community dynamics using a series of questions. This allows the user to see which places are lacking in what areas, where there is a need for addition attention, and what types of initiatives might be most needed. The information was collected by the Dallas Independent School District and used to develop plans for new community hubs in different parts of the city. You can play with the tool here: https://lnkd.in/gssAD84K This article from D Magazine highlights some of the history: https://lnkd.in/gby_Emh8 Thank you to Alan Cohen who heads CPAL for sharing this information. I hope others can leverage it. #education #neighborhoods Partners for Rural Impact #poverty #inequality #socialimpact StriveTogether https://lnkd.in/gnrcrfms
