They finished training and were sworn in as court-appointed advocates last week! We are so grateful to these individuals who have answered the call to help children in foster care in our community. ⭐️🤩

Today we’re celebrating a recent Volunteer of the Month, Renee Kariv! She’s been an advocate since 2000 and has worked on over 15 cases, helping more than 50 children across Houston. We are in awe of her dedication and passion as an advocate! 👏🎉

Congrats to our newly sworn-in advocates!! 🎊🎈 They have stepped up to give a voice to the best interests of children in the foster care system. We are so excited to see the wonderful difference they will make for children in Houston!

Meet Brenda Jones! Brenda was our Rookie of the Year in 2023. She has gone above and beyond in her advocacy for two baby girls who came into foster care when they were just a few months old. She completes all of the advocate duties, but what really sets her apart is her ability to testify in the courtroom where life-altering decisions are being made about these children. Hooray for our newest advocates! They finished their volunteer training at the end of April and now will begin working with a child in the foster care system, advocating for their best interests.
