As someone of South Asian heritage, it's important to me to acknowledge and share knowledge of the various festivals and celebrations that come with it. Whether it's from a religious or cultural perspective, it's a way for me to connect with my children and those in my community. There are many nuances that go alongside these celebrations, which differ from region to region and family to family. I'm always curious about how others celebrate and mark these occasions, and I believe recent efforts towards diversity and inclusiveness mean there's a whole circle out there that feels the same. For me, creating Barfi, a popular Indian confectionery, is both a passion and an opportunity to share a huge part of my heritage in one of the most heartwarming ways possible: through the gift of sharing and food. How important do you believe it is to celebrate diversity in the workplace? Do you shy away from embracing festivities like these, or do you fully embrace them? Let's start a conversation about the importance of cultural awareness and inclusivity in our workplaces and whether you would be comfortable taking in or welcome a colleague bringing in a tray of Indian desserts to work to celebrate the occasion? #culturalawareness #inclusivity

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth! As we join in the observation and celebrations, we're reflecting on the power of actively listening to marginalized voices and celebrating diverse perspectives. When everyone is uplifted and shares their perspective, we are stronger as a team. We acknowledge the struggle and continued obstacles that face people of color, particularly, the lack of diversity within creative leadership in our industry. We invite voices form all perspectives to make our creative better, richer, stronger and more inclusive. We put in the daily work: showing respect towards everyone regardless of race or background; being compassionate in our relationships; opening ourselves up to new ideas even if they challenge preconceived notions; embracing each person's unique identity through self-expression and celebrate the uncomfortable as we know those moments lead to change. Through these practices, we create a culture that welcomes people of different backgrounds into both our business operations and client base alike. #thisfiercelife #juneteenth #freedomday

**Creating a culture of respect by acknowledging people** One of the simplest and most effective ways to create a culture of respect is to acknowledge people. This means taking the time to recognize their contributions, both big and small. It also means being mindful of your own words and actions, and making sure that you are treating everyone with dignity and respect. Here are a few ways to acknowledge people and create a culture of respect: * **Say hello and goodbye to everyone.** It may seem simple, but making eye contact and saying hello to someone shows that you see them and value their presence. * **Use people's names.** When you use someone's name, you are showing that you are paying attention and that you value them as an individual. * **Be specific in your praise.** When you compliment someone, be specific about what you appreciate about them. This shows that you have been paying attention and that you value their unique contributions. * **Thank people for their work.** It is important to show your appreciation for the work that others do, both big and small. A simple "thank you" can go a long way. * **Be mindful of your body language.** Make eye contact, smile, and nod your head to show that you are listening and engaged in the conversation. * **Be respectful of everyone's opinions, even if you disagree.** Everyone has the right to their own opinion, and we should all be respectful of each other's differences. By acknowledging people and creating a culture of respect, we can create a more positive and productive environment for everyone. **#respect #acknowledgement #cultureofrespect #inclusion #diversity #bekind #InvestedEfforts #FlexiblyThinking

In a world that moves at lightning speed, our judgments are often faster than the blink of an eye. But what if we took a moment to truly understand and appreciate the differences that make us unique? The openness to respecting differences is what sets us on a path to growth and unity. It's about more than just tolerance—it's about embracing and celebrating diversity. Let's challenge ourselves to pause before we judge. Let's listen, understand, and appreciate the perspectives of others. Through understanding, we find common ground and build connections that bridge gaps. Watch this powerful video by Heineken, where an experiment leads people to reexamine their judgments and find commonality: https://loom.ly/jQPw-74 Let's create a world where differences are not dividers but rather beautiful threads that weave us together. #DiversityAndInclusion #EmbraceDifferences #UnityInDiversity #RespectEveryPerspective #MissionFacilitators
