Vitalik recently shared his views on Enshrining things into Ethereum. At L2IV, we wanted to provide a balanced, nuanced analysis of the complex minimalism vs. enshrinement tradeoffs Ethereum faces, thoughtfully considering both perspectives and principles. The proposed "minimal viable enshrinement" approach of incremental, evaluated additions enabling capabilities while retaining core values provides a prudent way forward. Overall, we're leaning towards driving constructive discourse on optimizing Ethereum's technical vision while retaining its ethos of decentralization and permissionless innovation.
