Blink, and you miss it! It's already two whirlwind years since Mark Sloane, our paragon of organisation, commandeered the helm of our operations. Mark's role can best be defined as... ... an elegant dance between silky smooth processes and steadfast robustness. "What do you treasure most about your journey so far, Mark?" we prodded. Here, in his words, are the top three cherries on this delightful cake: 1. Having the opportunity to work with former colleagues from previous roles and the new relationships that I have established 2. The autonomy of the role and the freedom afforded to align the operations function with the requirements of the business. 3. I should really say meeting our commercial director, Daniel Hague, but that goes without saying! So the final highlight would be witnessing the development of the company in what has been a relatively short period of time. Without going into too much detail: the evolution of our proposition, the growth of our client base and the development of the teams. Thank you, Mark! #clearcycler #staffappreciation #employeeappreciation

One of Mary Poppins famous lines was "I'm practically perfect, in every way." But do we really need to be perfect? This article, written by Brandon Hughes at Charter Solutions, makes "perfect" sense. #commonsense #brandonhughes #perfectsense

Supply Chain Expertise, Business to Business Consulting, Fractional Leadership, Process optimization
Great group of supply chain leaders joined our Round Table yesterday. Waypost Advisors thanks SafeNet Consulting (now Eliassen Group) for hosting and to everyone for joining. Insights shared around the table included container delays and leadtimes driving up costs for shipping, especially from Asia. Risk in the FTL freight markets due to depressed pricing and over-capacity and a subject near and dear to our hearts at Waypost Advisors and Supply Chain Geeks everywhere like Emily LeVasseur, how important it is to document address and align your business processes whenever you are working on your ERP strategy. Thanks All and see you in Sept !!!
Let the summer fun begin! In this episode of Waypost In The Wild, we ring-in the summer with another Twin Cities Supply Chain Leader Round Table event at the Eliassen Group Tiki Lounge. Our guests gathered for one final get-together before the kiddos come home and the craziness of summer fun begins. We shared and leveraged each other's experiences in supply chain work to help each other solve problems and build a local supply chain leader community. We are looking forward to what September will bring the Round Table when we pick back up, but right now we're really looking forward to summer. 🌞🍹🏖️ *Thank you to Marie LePage for the pictures, and welcome to our team. 🤗

Business Coach | Sales Trainer | Strategic Growth Specialist | Driving Businesses Forward | Founder and Owner of The Boardroom Network // Frustrated With Your Business? Contact Me!
Have you ever worked in a business like this? Team members get promoted for their hard work and dedication. Only then to recieve no support or training in their new role. I use the nightclub analogy. 🕺 Team members are the dancers on the dancefloor. 💃 Managers are the best dancers on the floor. ( You know the ones. The ones that other dancers emulate.) 🎶 Directors, however are the DJ's. Directors manage the room. They set the pace, the tone and the culture of the night. Will the dancers dance? Will they stand at the sides, confused? Will they go to another, better nightclub? How can your team transition through their respective roles: 🚫 Without training? 🚫 Without support? 🚫 Without a clear vision of the goals. The best example of support I can remember being given was by my good friend Kevin Kelly. He was my manager on my first day at Pitney Bowes literally 20 years ago!!! Kevin told me that if I wanted, he'd get me my 1st sale. He was happy to do it, but then I'd NEVER know that I could do it myself. I refused and got my first ever sale that day. Thank you for that Kevin. What was the best example of support you remember getting? #growth #training #support #ghost

I recently came across this ad by Starbucks that involves an integrated marketing communication mix and has an emotional appeal to the ad. It appears to be a heartfelt portrayal of the diversity of experiences and stories that unfold within its cafes. ✨ The ad begins with the statement that "every table has a story," suggesting that Starbucks locations are more than just places to grab a coffee; they're spaces where people come together to share moments, dreams, and emotions. 💡 This cohesive storytelling, coupled with visuals and music, creates a warm and inclusive atmosphere, effectively communicating Starbucks' brand values and inviting customers to be part of its story. In my opinion, this advertisement sets an amazing example of how to use the IMC mix with a story that touches your heart. ☕ #StarbucksStories #CoffeeBreak #MKTG5519

This year's Super Bowl was not just a battleground for the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers but also for brands vying for the title of the most effective advertisement. With 123.4 million viewers tuned in, the stakes were higher than ever for the 59 commercials aired. Analyzing ad effectiveness goes beyond mere viewership. While traditional metrics such as ad recall and brand awareness offer insights, innovative methodologies are paving the way for more accurate evaluations. Engaged-view conversions emerge as a crucial metric, tying advertising directly to customer actions and sales. What Makes an Ad Effective? The most effective ads are those that create a memorable and engaging experience for the viewer, driving not just awareness but action. This year, ads by State Farm®, Dunkin', Kia, and Uber Eats, among others, stood out not just for their creativity but for their ability to resonate with the audience and drive engagement. Here is our favorite:

Okay, even though no one asked for it, here's my two cents on how Chick-fil-a fumbled the freakin' bag. Ultimately I agree that they made a HUGE error in not allowing Miri to continue making content. It will not likely reflect in their bottom line at the end of the day, but it may cost them someone who is obviously a wonderful team member. I do however understand the fear brands have with UGC. If a brand agrees to a partnership with an influencer regardless of size, and there is any form of controversy with said creator, where's the first place people are going to run? There is so much additional crisis planning that companies need to have in place before implementing a UGC campaign. (Especially a company like chick-fil-a who is already intimately familiar with boycotts and protests.) But it seems that even companies like Trader Joes have fallen victim to the fear. At the end of the day, the risk is well worth the reward, and it is crazy to me that a multi-million dollar company did not come to the same conclusion.
