Our three panels of industry experts, including Grosvenor, Salford City Council, Gilbanks, and MediaCityUK, shared valuable insights, including: · Grosvenor are looking towards older assets as opposed to shiny, new offices, as commented by Fergus Evans. · 20% of lettings are fitted and furnished. People don't want the hassle of project managing their fit-out with shorter leases, as stated by Will Lewis of OBI. · There is an increased demand in workplaces that offer well-being and event spaces, allowing for social and collaborative interactions, as highlighted Jazzmine Barrett of EPR Architects. · In the cyclical nature of property, investment is currently very low in offices. The general panel sentiment is that landlords should keep rather than sell their buildings in the current market.
