I couldn't be more proud of our team here at Caelux. The focus and dedication from our engineers, vendors, and our tool installation & facilities team has been amazing; I feel lucky to be here working with them. Perhaps the most gratifying experience is when people come to you with an idea you DON'T think will work -- and they prove you wrong. Our team did just that when we hit a roadblock in developing this process, making this picture possible. And if we have any doubters, that's how Caelux is proving them wrong. Making Perovskites 1m x 2m, not 1", 2", or 4". Making them in America, not China. Making them in L.A., not Silicon Valley. While innovating, we make plenty of mistakes too. But I'm proud of our team's tenacity and ability to turn those experiences into improvement.
RE+ last week offered an incredible opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and establish new relationships. But even more exciting was coming back home to see the Caelux team's progress in ramping our state-of-the-art 100MW fab in Baldwin Park, CA. Pictured is a 2 square meter perovskite on glass substrate. I was thrilled by the quality of the films deposited but blown away by the tenacity of our team and that of our partners which smashed this milestone and continue to drive hard daily in support of the Caelux's mission. Pictured here are Ali Akil and Deepak Krishnan, two of our talented team members standing next to this full-scale perovskite coated glass. To be clear, this is a product development milestone, not the released product; I'll talk about specs at a later date, I promise. #perovskite #solar #solarenergy #sustainability #technology #climatechange #madeinusa #caelux #madeinusa #IRA (Some sections of the image blurred for confidentiality)
