We held our annual Fall Sales Conference for another year at Mohegan Sun in CT. Advisors and staff gathered for a fun, information-packed day of development workshops, panel discussions, and more. Listening and hearing what the client is not saying. I attempt to understand and figure out what they ask of me, and resolve the issue during my call. 🕰️ What is your favorite quote? “Father time is the enemy none of us can beat.” My Madea would say random quotes and phrases, but now that I am wiser and more seasoned, I understand what she meant by it. 📱 What is one thing you can’t leave home without? I cannot leave home without my phone. I left my purse with my driver’s license and bank cards at home, but I had my phone. 😏 🎻 What is your hidden talent? I play the violin. 😂 What is your most used emoji? Depending on the day, my most used emoji is the laughing emoji. I am going to laugh because what’s the sense of crying? Lol!

Good Afternoon, Team, I wanted to take this opportunity of Feel Good Friday to spotlight an employee with Lawrence Companies. Maricela Ortiz, based out of Waynesboro VA, is a vital part of our Freight Division. In a dual role as customer service rep and dispatch, Mari ensures that the business continues to run on a daily basis. I took a few moments out of Mari's day today to ask her what is means to be part of the inclusion of Lawrence Companies: 1. Being an employee-owned business, what does being an ESOP mean to you? My day-to-day decisions impact the future, not only for myself, but for the company that we all own. 2. What Direction would you like to see for our company and/or personal growth? Continued expansion and growth. The opportunity to bring in more profit. Lastly, an opportunity to see myself advance within the company. 3. What Brings Joy to your life? What gets you out of bed in the morning? My children bring me joy and are my purpose in life. This job understands and identifies family because that is how we all operate. Team, I leave you with this. Our employees are our life blood. The best part? They all have a story to tell. You just have to be curious enough to get to know them.
