Necessity is the mother of invention (The crow)🐦⬛ 👍 In a stunning display of intelligence, a clever crow named Croaky was observed carefully placing pebbles into an empty water bottle. 👍With a problem-solving glint in his eye, Croaky deliberately filled the bottle with just the right number of pebbles, creating a makeshift "weight" that allowed him to access the water inside. 👍 By tipping the bottle and using the pebbles as a counter balance ,Croaky was able to drink from the bottle with ease, quenching his thirst in a most innovative way. 👍 This remarkable behavior show cased the crow's renowned intelligence and adaptability, leaving onlookers in awe of his creative solution to a tricky problem. #NecessityIsTheMotherOfInvention #InnovationBornFromNecessity #ProblemSolving #CreativeSolutions #NecessityDrivenInnovation #ChallengeAccepted #SolutionFocused of

#FridayFacts What is Braille? Braille is a system of touch reading and writing for blind persons & those with partial sight in which raised dots represent the letters of the alphabet. Did you know there is braille around that people might not have noticed? Most ATM’s are designed with braille to make them more accessible. Do you like tattoos? Unknown to most people, you can get one in braille. Some elevators and keypads have braille but most people have minimal knowledge about the braille system. @BrailleWorks @EnableMe

New product: Chris Morgan Signature Long Shank Apple Briar Pipe, New Chris Morgan is an American artisan pipe-maker based in California. Beginning his pipe-making career in 2006, Morgan has managed to carve a distinct niche for himself in the contemporary pipe scene – or, rather, many niches. Morgan creates high-grade pipes both as part of his Signature line and as part of his Workshop line, which is a collaborative effort between himself and Montana artisan Sean Reum. Morgan is also responsible for the Blackjack and Briar Cigar pipe series, the latter coming from a partnership with Italian artisan and briar cutter Mimmo Romeo. Finally, as the creator of the rough and rugged Bones series, Morgan has become even more of a cult figure in the pipe community than most other artisans of his stature. I was quite surprised to see this lumberman-length bent apple from Chris Morgan land on my desk, but I soon realized the genius behind its composition. You can tell that Morgan knows how to craft a hand made pipe, because Morgan knows that when the briar speaks, you listen. In other words, he’s able to recognize the natural grain patterns of a block and to work with them to help them achieve their fullest potential. Notice, for example, how the vertical grain that rises up the pipe’s bowl carries on, perfectly parallel, up the sides of the shank. Similarly, notice how the swirling bird’s-eye on the bowl’s underside continues up the shank and dissipates just as the shank meets the stem. It wasn’t just Morgan that decided what this pipe would look like – rather, it was a conversation. On the other hand, it was Morgan that decided to complete the design with a hand-cut turquoise ebonite stem. For that unique but well chosen addition, he gets full credit. New product: Kurt Balleby Smooth Rhodesian Estate Briar Pipe, Danish Estates, 9mm Along with figures such as Hans ‘Former’ Nielsen, Anne Julie, and Tom Eltang, Kurt Balleby Hansen is one of the living legends of Danish pipe-making. Balleby celebrated his 40th year in the craft in 2023, having first started as an apprentice to Kai Nielsen and Preben Holm. Owing to a highly selective approach to the briar he uses, and to the over 150 steps involved in making a Balleby pipe, production is limited, and their availability is scarce. It is not every day that you get to handle a Balleby. In fact, for most, the probability of ever handling one is close to nil. I feel quite honored in that I was able to inspect this one for myself, though the feeling is bittersweet, as I will not be able to keep it. This one came to us through our consignment program; it’s a stunning, eminently Danish Rhodesian, with a perfect combination of vertical straight grain and bird’s-eye patterns on its rim. The stem is hand cut cumberland, and features an accent that looks – to me – like zebrawood. Finally, at the base of the stem lies Balleby’s emblem: a 14 carat gold inlay. The condition is excellent. There’s a little, minor inner rim darkening, but I see nothing else of note. The pipe is chambered for 9mm filters, but would likely accommodate an adapter for non-filtered use. Details: Length: 5.4″ / 137.1mm Bowl Width: 0.84 / 21.33mm Bowl Depth: 1.65″ / 41.91mm Weight: 2.1oz / 60g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/pbhlsH #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd

New product: Rinaldo Lithos YY Titania, Rusticated Apple Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked As with so many of today’s premier Italian workshop makes, the story of Rinaldo begins at Mastro de Paja. The latter was a workshop founded by Giancarlo Guidi (later of Ser Jacopo) and Giannino Spadoni (later of Fiamma di Re), which the brothers Elio and Guido Rinaldo worked for as teenagers in the 1970s. At the end of the 1980s, the two departed Mastro de Paja to found their own make under their surname. Thus, Rinaldo was born. I should know better by now, but I’ll admit I’m always surprised not to mention impressed – that makes with such close “family trees” as the Italian workshops are nonetheless all very different in the styles they pursue. The Lithos is Rinaldo’s partially rusticated series, however Rinaldo’s rustication wears a two-tone dark-grey (rough sections) and scarlet (smooth) stain. This Lithos is paired with a more typically Italian lucite stem (though still with more color to it than most). As for the rest of the nomenclature, “Y” is Rinaldo’s grading system, running from “Y” to “YYYY” on rusticated pipes, while “Titania” is, as the word implies, for larger than average pipes. This one is indeed quite big, but still a reasonable enough size for the average smoker to enjoy. This Rinaldo is also completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating from the Rinaldo workshop. It also comes with its original box and sleeve. Details: Length: 6″ / 152.4mm Bowl Width: 0.86 / 21.84mm Bowl Depth: 1.86″ / 47.24mm Weight: 2.9oz / 84g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/klvcMc #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd
