https://lnkd.in/gbAFEfW6 It's against the law, but why are Kiwis with service dogs still being turned away? In the latest episode of Fair Go's Limitless series, New Zealanders with service dogs are sharing their stories. These individuals have the right to access public places with their essential service companions but sadly continue to face discrimination and attitudinal barriers. Fair Go Limitless series sheds light on these stories and seeks to raise awareness about the challenges that people with service dogs encounter. We believe in creating a more inclusive and compassionate Aotearoa New Zealand where everyone can participate fully. Let's stand together, raise our voices and work towards a more accessible and accepting Aotearoa New Zealand for all. Watch Fair Go's powerful stories here: https://lnkd.in/gbAFEfW6 #AccessMattersNZ #ServiceDogs #FairGo #FairGoLimitless #accessibility #a11y #AccessMattersAotearoa #InclusiveNZ

Interesting and wide-ranging discussion about the nitty-gritty of statutory #BNG and its relationship with policies on #UrbanGreening and #NatureBasedSolutions. How will we craft the right policy mix to deliver the best solutions, particularly in urban areas? And how will different expectations of a variety of professional and local community interests play out, as well as those of the developer? Not long now until the sometimes rarefied world of policy-making and testing and trialling meets the rough-and-tumble of practical delivery. #BiodiversityNetGain

My latest article is about Farmers' Markets. Do you have one that you love to go to? More than ever, it's important to buy local and help farmers and small businesses out.
When Susan Parker was a kid, her family often visited farmers' markets in the Pictou, N.S. area where she grew up. | SaltWire https://lnkd.in/ecY4nkP6
Why farmers' markets should be on your fall bucket list: These East Coast spots offer far more than just locally-grown foods | SaltWire

🌟 Let's Discuss Family 🌟 "What is a family?" A question that sparks various responses, each holding its own truth. Yet, in our hearts, family goes beyond just blood relations—the essence lies in shared values and unity at the dinner table. In our Family Farm Team (FFT) sessions, I often reflect: "Every man, woman, and child who eats from the same saucepan is family." 🍲💕 This concept stems from the communal spirit in our villages, where unity isn't just a word but a way of life. However, true family extends beyond mere consumption—it includes shared responsibilities. Imagine if each member contributed to the food in that saucepan, not just in meals but in chores and responsibilities. 🌾🧹 Mutual participation ensures peace and harmony, fostering a sense of togetherness that transcends mere cohabitation. Let's remember, a family isn't just about who resides under the same roof but about building a collective harmony through shared actions and responsibilities. 💫 How do you define family, and what values do you believe hold a family together? Share your thoughts! #FamilyFarmTeams #Family #AdultLearning #Unity #CommunityLove ❤️🏡

DID YOU KNOW? The earliest instance of beekeeping dates back at least 4,500 years and is said to be second to the “oldest profession” 😊. AND Honey bees pollinate approximately one third of the food we consume. 🐝🐝🐝 Further, the second oldest trade is also occupied by small/family business owners, predominately men of a certain age, who dedicate their lives to this fine agricultural art. Ben Moore, owner of Ben's Bees, https://lnkd.in/g24pxR3G located in Victoria, Australia, joined me live on air back in December last year at the 94.1FM 3WBC studios. He so generously shared an amazing insight into his buzzing world and what a miraculous hive of industry, love and enjoyment apiculture (beekeeping) truly is. 🍯 Ben also spoke openly about his recent experience of losing a good mate and fellow beekeeper to suicide and the effect on how he now approaches life. We discussed some of the risk factors of men working in isolation and other social determinants that everyone can recognise by way of reducing risk. This is a really special show, so if you missed it, or want to listen again, visit my YouTube channel where you’ll find this and many others like it https://lnkd.in/fJV94My What does it feel like, being you today? www.raebonney.au #menshealth #suicideprevention #beekeeping #smallbusiness #familybusiness #passionandpurpose #ethicalpractices #beefriendly #honey #wellbeing #dowhatyoulove #bees #beehive #socialdeterminants #apiculture #apiarist #workplacementalhealth

https://lnkd.in/eVDG8tr4 beautiful these bees helping eachother
Farrah King on Instagram: "Yesterday while I was working in my apothecary, I heard a bee in distress. She had flown inside into some cobwebs by a window. I tried to help her but it was apparent she was quite tangled. I quickly scooped her up and rushed her to one of my hives in my apiary. Immediately, a group of sister bees rushed to her aid and began assisting in the removal of the web. They work
