I was just talking to some of my peers about this idea. The idea that working longer means you are doing more and being more productive. It's simply not true. Its not about the length of hours you work, it's about how you manage the hours within your work day. Too many people are burning themselves out working 10-12 and sometimes 14 hours day simply because they think working longer means you being more productive. A part of running a successful business or anything successful is being efficient. More time spent does not equal "more value." Your culture should reward results, not hours logged. Top talent want to work on their own terms. Trust your team to deliver results. Let them figure out the how. Focus on your outcomes. Not just optics. To build a high-performance culture, you need to: 1. Set hyper clear goals and expectations 2. Measure outcomes, not hours spent 3. Empower your team with autonomy 4. Reward efficiency "Busy" is the worst flex in business. Because it doesn't celebrate outcomes. It celebrates inputs. To attract and keep your top talent you need to flip the script.
