When you share your story, you help others imagine their future. Not so much as a predictor of facts, but as a predictor of feelings. The story arc includes background, conflict/tension/angst, and resolution. This sets a pattern for the listener. By hearing your story, I know it's possible to experience a sense of resolve. Not necessarily "happily ever after," but an assurance that the conflict/tension/angst of today will be abated. We may go through waves of the arc, but our stories always find equilibrium. Storytelling support in work and in life is especially important for those experiencing loss of a job, a loved one, or a dream. We are all there at some point. Let's be there for one another ... through telling our stories. That's where hope lives. Need help with your story? Message me. #storytelling #loss #hope
