A momentous occasion is upon us as we proudly mark the 10th anniversary of the conception of a Healthy Place To Work®! What began as an idea born from the poignant words of Stanford Professor Jeffrey Pfeffer in his presentation, 'Workplaces are killing people and nobody cares' at a conference in 2014, has blossomed into a decade-long journey of promoting health, wellbeing and sustainable high-performance workplaces around the world. At the core of our mission is a commitment to creating environments where employees not only survive but thrive. Inspired by the urgency highlighted by Professor Pfeffer, we embarked on a mission to redefine workplace culture, emphasising the importance of mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual health, employee engagement, and overall performance. From that initial spark of inspiration, we have worked tirelessly to innovate, educate, and advocate for healthier workplaces. Employee wellbeing isn't a new concept. Wellness programs have been in place since the 1970s but unfortunately most of these existing programs fail the objective. The biggest pitfall being not addressing or understanding the nuances of one's situation. While a lot of companies talk about mental and physical well-being of employees, very few actually take steps to strategically implement it as part of their company culture. Thrilled to see RateGain going above and beyond to prioritize employee well-being! Impressed that they're revamping personal time-off benefits – which is so important for work-life balance. As a working mom, I immensely appreciate RateGain's intension and commitment to creating a culture that supports employees' holistic well-being.
