💡Water is a cornerstone for sustainable energy initiatives. As highlighted by the recent EP report, green hydrogen production, vital for decarbonization, demands significant water resources. ♻Embracing a sustainable energy future means thinking smart about water too. Finding the right balance not only makes our planet greener but also steers us towards a Water-Smart Society. 👁🗨Find out more in the report on 'EU development cooperation in support of access to energy in developing countries' released by the European Parliament: https://lnkd.in/dQawAP5Q #GreenHydrogen #WaterSmartSociety #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #SustainableEnergy #WaterSmart #GreenPlanet #waterstress #greenhydrogen

Island nations like the Bahamas, Fiji, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu face a dire predicament. Rising sea levels and changing climate patterns threaten their very existence. Last week, they escalated their fight, challenging top carbon emitters in a Hamburg court, demanding that greenhouse gas emissions be recognised as marine pollution. But while courts decide the legal battle, action is already underway. Global OTEC, an ocean based renewable energy pioneer, is embarking on a groundbreaking mission to Fiji with a vision to replace diesel power with clean ocean energy. offering a beacon of hope for sustainable power. Here's an intriguing twist: Global OTEC is opening up a seat for this mission. ONE chance for someone to champion this cause even further. Who wouldn't want to step up and be a part of this opportunity and use their voice to amplify both the urgency and potential of this mission? #OTEC #renewableenergy #cleanenergy

New analysis has revealed that the #UK takes last place in the top five Western European economies on green investments. Canadian campaign group Greenpeace analysed the International Energy Agency (IEA) government energy spending tracker that looks at 2020-2023 and found that the UK spends less on green endeavours than #Germany, #Italy, #Spain and #France. The country also comes out worst when looking at per-capita #green energy spending, and it ranks worst for total spending on low carbon and efficient transport out of those countries, even though transport is the UK's largest emitting sector for greenhouse gas emissions. "The main aim of energy progression, therefore, is recognizing the progressive character of energy use, implying that it has to happen gradually and in different stages. This, in essence, implies that, in all these stages, there should be adequate support at the national, regional and international levels through among others the availability of finances and technology to ensure that countries progress from one form of energy to another. With energy progression, we pay extra attention to the energy access challenges in developing countries; the role of fossil fuels in industrialization; the role of fossil fuels in urbanization; the role of fossil fuels in meeting the domestic energy demand from the anticipated population growth. We should ensure sustainability in developing extractive resources" Says our CEO, Dr Victoria R Nalule, MCIArb.
