Our Women in Leadership (WIL) Employee Resource Group hosted a fun speed networking and lunch event in early May with our executive leaders in Minneapolis. Through a series of quick questions, employees learned more about our company’s leaders in areas ranging from their career journeys to their favorite movies and music. This event left us all inspired to keep providing energy for what matters most!

Some of the gems I took away from the Women in Leadership event yesterday at Kiln. Panelists Sindee Savage Trina Celeste L. Robyn Cohen did a great job of talking about Leveraging Your Network. 1. Don't be afraid to ask questions. 2. Find great mentors when building your network. 3. Create the perfect elevator pitch. 4. Find your people on LinkedIn and pay attention to what's happening around them. And the biggest GET from today. 5. There is no such thing as true work/life balance. Replace the word balance with harmony. We can all strive to find work/life harmony.

Since 2015, the percentage of women in the C-suite has surged from 17 to an encouraging 28 percent.
