At CenterPoint Energy, we’re investing in technology that helps reduce both outage frequency and duration. In just the first five months of 2024, system automation devices saved 3,381,895 minutes of interruption and prevented 115 sustained outages. That’s a lot of time you could spend streaming your favorite shows or shopping at your favorite store. Fewer truck rolls help reduce carbon emissions, too. 2wHow does CNP use the data from these devices to prevent longer term outages? I understand your need to reduce truck rolls but can the data be used to anticipate failures and help prevent them?
