As is our longstanding strategy for any severe weather event, we have activated our emergency response plan ahead of Beryl, including bringing in resources from other areas of the country to support. Our electric and natural gas crews are ready to safely and quickly address areas expected to be impacted by the storm. We will continue proactive preparedness communications and updates once the storm passes and damage assessments begin. Learn more about our preparations: https://lnkd.in/gC3vTk5c

I strongly suggest to check the zones with residences for senior citizen and plan to reestablish the power in those zones first

We are an electrical line contractor located in Florida. CPE was proactive in contacting us to discuss the possibility of assisting them back when Beryl was just over Jamaica. CPE was tracking this storm from day one and mobilized our team to Houston prior to the storm landing. Restoration work could not begin until the storm had passed and damages assessed which is a huge effort. We understand everyone’s frustration but we feel that CPE has done a great job of pre-planning and directing our crews to the numberous trouble areas in need.

The average person has no idea how difficult the restoration of service to 3 million people after a huge storm is. The damage was massive and it simply takes a lot of time and planning and thousands of workers to safely restore service to everyone. These people work long hours in the most extreme conditions to get everyone's service restored but it takes time and cannot be rushed.

Yeah right!!!!… according to your spokesperson you did not bring in additional help until after the storm moved on. They also stated that CP didn’t think the storm would hit Houston…you do electricity, not weather. Oh to add, your VP was on 11 news saying he wouldn’t do anything different…you wouldn’t be working for CP either…CP is a monopoly and this has to change…just think if this storm was a 2,3,4 or 5…this city would be in the ice age!!!!

I will believe it when I feel it. Let's hope people don't die of heat exhaustion because Center Point wasn't ready and FEMA didn't activate when asked by the LT Governor Dan Patrick. Must have been during nap time. #realpeople #reallives #CenteroffPoint
