Graduate students apply today!
The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) established the September 11th Memorial Program for Regional Transportation Planning to honor the memory of Ignatius Adanga, Charles Lesperance, and See Wong Shum, the three employees it lost during the attack on the World Trade Center.
Students will conduct research under the guidance of a mentor from NYMTC or a NYMTC member agency. The research will challenge students to develop creative solutions to difficult transportation problems, providing a benefit to the region while enhancing their educational experiences.

CAIT Director Dr. Ali Maher was proud to discuss the DataCity Smart Mobility Testing Ground at the inaugural Middlesex County Transportation Symposium yesterday!
DataCity is a living laboratory spanning multiple miles across downtown New Brunswick, NJ, that has been equipped with advanced sensors for collecting smart-mobility data. This data will support the future of autonomous vehicles while improving transportation safety, congestion, and equity in the region.
Joined by Dr. Peter Jin, Associate Professor in the Rutgers School of Engineering, Dr. Maher highlighted this innovative transportation project and the collaboration between Rutgers University, Middlesex County, and our project partners.
