✔ [An intense week, yet Fashion-Forward: aligning service with latest trends] Just waved goodbye to the vibrant energy of Pitti Uomo in Florence, and immediately I was on the move again! This time, heading north to dive into another intriguing event: Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags. Actually, my participation aimed to find one or more non-Italian suppliers for specific requests from two foreign clients. Working with international clients has taught me that despite differences, the fundamental needs remain the same for everyone: excellent service, a proactive attitude, and a perfect balance between quality and price. Having well-defined projects and significant order quantities is key to gaining attention and collaboration internationally. The product development management may vary, but with my solid experience in the Italian industry, I ensure the transfer and strict control of production specifications, no matter the location. A practical example: tackling the challenge of raw materials, especially leathers, is complex. It's not always possible to match Italian quality. However, with the right knowledge and network, a distinctive product can be created that reflects a diverse and international taste. Speaking more about the fair, I noticed a worrying trend: once bustling stands now empty, and suppliers reducing their minimum order quantities (MOQ). This is a clear signal that the industry is undergoing a period of introspection and reorganization. It's time to revisit strategies and act decisively. 🔄 Resilience is key in these transition times. Staying agile, reflective, and adaptable becomes crucial to navigate these uncertain waters. 🤝 If you're looking for a partner who understands the global language of production and can navigate the complexities of international collaborations, contact me. Together, we can overcome barriers and create products that combine style and quality, anywhere in the world. #IsabellaPagnaniniIFPD #IsabellaPagnanini #Expo Riva Schuh #productmanager #sostenibilità #obiettivi #trasparenza #moda #innovazione #fashion #style #madeinitaly #shoes #scarpe #abbigliamento #artigiani #artigianato #partner #talenti #eccellenza #italianshoes #scarpeitaliane #luxory #footwear #italianstyle #footweardesign #footwear #fashionstyle #fashiondesigner #fashiondesign #ricerca #people #culture #like #art #opportunities #work #connections #clothing #luxurybrand #shoes #FashionTech

🤷♀️ Is luxury dead? A wittedly written column on the Financial Times (link below) suggests that #luxury fashion prices have gone too far. The quality of better garments and materials would not justify T-shirts for $500 or sneakers for $1,000. Especially as “luxury clothes are all but indistinguishable from the casual clothes they imitate – sportswear and workwear, mostly.” According to the author, these business models would be living on borrowed time. 📉 We agree that many signals from the #corporate world suggest that luxury companies have started to struggle in terms of volumes. As a sign of the challenges, the share price of luxury retailer #Farfetch has plummeted from a peak of $73 to around $1.70 now. What has happened? 👜 The frenzy to buy luxury items for “investment” purpose seems to be fading, finally. ❌ In a context of high #inflation, more discretionary items like luxury don’t make the cut. ⛳ There is a trend of consumers spending more on experiences (#holidays, #concerts) than on material goods. This is a reversal from the #Covid trends. 🤑 And, yes, many #luxurybrands have pushed prices over the past years beyond what inflation could justify, simply because they could. They are now stuck with them because nothing is worse for a luxury brand than having to reduce prices. So volumes suffer… 💚 Is it good or bad from a #sustainability perspective? While luxury is typically associated with decadence and #waste of resources, one must bear in mind that luxury items are usually better cared for, #resold more often and have a longer lifetime than its opposite: #ultrafastfashion. It would be ideal to have the longevity and circularity of luxury applied more broadly…without the price tag of course! https://lnkd.in/ddaqevhC #marketingcommunication #sustainability #esgstrategy #esg #luxuryfashion The Leonie and Norman Institute is linked to the Trium Sustainable Innovators (“TSI”) portfolio management team, which is part of Trium Capital LLP. Winter in Johannesburg is generally mild, but it can still be chilly, especially in the mornings and evenings. Here are some essential tips for traveling there during this season: 1. Dress in Layers: Temperatures can vary throughout the day. Wear layers so you can adjust your clothing as needed. A light jacket or sweater will be useful for the cooler mornings and evenings. 2. Stay Hydrated: Johannesburg's altitude can make the air dry, which can lead to dehydration. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. 3. Sun Protection: Even in winter, the sun can be strong. Use sunscreen and wear sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes from UV rays. 4. Comfortable Footwear: If you plan on exploring the city or its surrounding areas, make sure you have comfortable, sturdy footwear. Some attractions might involve walking or uneven terrain. 5. Plan for Limited Daylight: Days are shorter in winter, so plan your activities accordingly. Most attractions and tours may have reduced hours. 6. Explore Indoor Activities: Take advantage of Johannesburg’s indoor attractions, such as museums, galleries, and shopping centers, to stay warm and entertained. 7. Stay Safe: As with any travel, be aware of your surroundings, especially in less crowded areas, and keep your belongings secure. Enjoy your winter trip to Johannesburg!
