Armin Garmany, and Drs. Sara Inglis, Atta Behfar, and Andrew Rosenbaum at the Mayo Clinic published a nice case report demonstrating the usefulness of #PVloop monitoring during #LVAD speed optimization. #Hemodynamics revealed a clear trend toward worsening right ventricular systolic function with increased LVAD speed, despite beneficial left ventricular unloading. As a result, the medical team advised adding inotropic therapy to support the right ventricle while increasing LVAD speed. What better way to add diagnostic insight and inform patient management?
