The current climate crisis demands urgent and coordinated action both domestically and internationally. The CCPI - Climate Change Performance Index evaluates the efforts of 59 countries and the EU, responsible for 92% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and provides a useful benchmark to gauge progress. Denmark, Chile, and Morocco are among the best performers, while the US, Canada, and Australia are lagging behind. Take a moment to review the index and see how your country is performing. I'm glad to be part of the formulation of this document.

This is nonsense. The US and other counties have done far more to address climate change than this map would indicate. In fact, US emissions are falling (and have been since 2007).

A colleague with the Citizens' Climate Lobby told me of a recent attempt to engage a local chapter of Trout Unlimited in far-western North Carolina. The Trout members who attended the meeting did not deny that the climate is changing, but they shouted her down when she presented all the potential solutions, saying "they won't make a difference." The fact that a group like CCL is even engaging in rural Appalachia is itself progress, but I reminded her that talking about things like the carbon cycle and the World Bank is more likely to elicit conspiratorial thinking from audiences who largely have little more than a high school education. She told me that she tried to explain to them that we have to try an all-of-the-above approach with solutions like a carbon price and dividend, permitting reform, clean energy subsidies, and more, but she was shouted down. Only one young student from nearby Western Carolina University sat quietly and took interest in what she had to say, and they connected more deeply one-on-one after the meeting.

Can you help me understand how Denmark is ranked as one of the highest on this index as compared to how the overshoot measure calculates sustainability? https://overshoot.footprintnetwork.org/newsroom/country-overshoot-days/

So they create a false narrative, they create false indicators based on false narrative, they put more taxes on the working population based on the false narrative and false indicators, they pay the minions to protect their false narrative and to attack the people who have checked and dismantled their false narrative. Two questions with possible answers : - Why? To control the population. - Who are "they" ? Follow the money. And yes, the title is correct : Joel B Stronberg - Climate Policy โ€“ Itโ€™s Not About the Science. The rest is BS from a minion. IMHO.

I share the opinion of Prof Jonathan Foley, this map does not correspond to something i can recognise as accurate, i recommend Statista & illuminem to please check the sources. We do not understand some of the Green and Red. Moreover in a globalised economy please note that the supply chain is multi-national and incredibly complex and these maps do not help in my view. One would have to consider import / export and a globalised supply-chain of goods & services and this is then becoming an impossible and probably a futile task. That is why science recommends combining the bottom up and top down approaches including measuring & modelling to support attribution. The book-keeping, inventories and reporting exercises cannot suffice, and more importantly it is not what matters for #ClimateChange which is driven by #GHGs abundance in the atmosphere. One needs an #EarthSystem Approach, as endorsed by the World Meteorological Congress already in 2021 see World Meteorological Organization news item with relevant links here https://wmo.int/news/media-centre/wmo-overhauls-data-exchange-policy

The GOP and their propaganda outlets are why the US lags so dramatically. Their 24/7 lies are not only killing the planet and the public's understanding of climate issues, they're also killing our global competitiveness ... #RememberInNovember

CCPI is a very robust well put together and well thought index. And of course, as expected, Europe leads the way.
