I am extremely please to announce I am currently in transition to a new role within CBRE that will see me taking on a UK Regional Account Manager position in the Enterprise Accounts sector. This is due to a very successful time in the Critical Environment Business Unit, where I was able to display the leadership skills and qualities over the past 2 years which enabled us to secure an additional 2 production sites within the UK with multiple opportunities world wide for my current client. Due to this, I have been able to gain a promotion to UK Regional Account Manager in the Enterprise Accounts Division of CBRE for another extremely high profile global client. This will no doubt come with some new challenges and experiences which I am looking forward to. I would like to thank everyone that has encouraged and supported me on this journey, as the past 5/6 years has seen me grow exponentially both in and outside of work. I would like to say a massive thank you to my mentor Chris Williams MBA for taking time out to invest in me and to Ben Punter for giving me the opportunity to truly shine over the past 2 years. “No matter where you go, there you are.” - Jon Kabat-Zinn Mic drop, right? There is simply no way to avoid ourselves… Wherever we go, there we are! Almost 2.5 years ago, I left everything I knew behind. Family —> Friends —> Home Town Let it ALL go. This experience has had 3 distinct elements: 1) Expansion 2) Ego Shedding 3) Returning to a Me I already knew When you go somewhere you don’t know anyone, you free yourself of all the narratives of who you are: expansion. When you go somewhere you don’t know anyone, more parts of you are revealed to yourself: ego shedding. When you go somewhere you don’t know anyone, you discover that parts of you got left behind: returning. Going somewhere new doesn’t guarantee we become the version of ourselves that we desire. But if you’re willing to leave everything you know (this can be figurative or literal), where you go can become who you are. Going to new places can create the “cocktail” needed to get to know ourselves with more honesty and personal accountability. But only if we let the possibilities in.
