I daily use my operational experience in my everyday work to get the right results. An understanding of what 'life and death' really means goes a long way when dealing with quality control and pushing for the very best outcome for my customers. As expected that isn't always the cheapest option but you really do get what you pay for, however I continue to learn and find better options for every challenge. Possibly the equipment that has been trusted for years isn't the right fit anymore, development is a must. That development must also continue within myself. Finding the best training and opportunities to further my experience in various roles. A knowledge base from Search & Rescue, Police and Security has found me in an industry where I can really progress not just my immediate customers but those who will push the standards across the emergency services. If I need someone who can cook my meals, I do not hire an aspiring chef. I hire a chef. If I need someone to fix my car, I do not seek out an aspiring auto mechanic. I hire an auto mechanic. Need someone to rewire my house? I do not want an aspiring electrician to come anywhere near it. I hire an electrician. If I need someone who can secure my information systems, I hire a cybersecurity professional. I do not hire an aspiring cybersecurity professional. If you promote yourself as "aspiring," the best you can expect is to attract students, dilettantes, hobbyists, dabblers, and people who are trying to make money by selling things like training and coaching services.
