#Basic Check lists for Water quality at the Poultry farm : Water is the most important nutrient for poultry. In addition to being a nutrient, water also softens food and carries it through the body, aids in digestion and absorption, and cools the body as it evaporates through the bird’s lungs and air sacs. Water helps remove waste, lubricates joints, is a major component of blood, and a necessary medium for many chemical reactions that help form meat and eggs/ 1.Physical: Colorless, Odorless, Transparent 2.Biological: Total Bacterial count<50 CFU/ml Total Coliform count- Nil 3.Chemical: pH: Poultry prefer water with a pH of 6.0 to 6.8 but can tolerate a pH range of 4 to 8. Total Dissolved Solids(TDS):<1000 ppm Hardness: This range 60-180 ppm Salinity:<1000 ppm Oxidation-Reduction potential (ORP): 650-750 mV Iron:01-1mg/Lit Chlorine :1-3 PPM Turbidity:Less than 5 PPM

We recently did a concept study for a cashew nut processing plant. One of the by-products is the shell which is normally classified as agri-waste. But did you know the shells contain a liquid called Cashew Nutshell Liquid and has a monitary value? #concepts #conceptdesign #conceptstudy #cashew #cashewnut #cashewnuts #cashews #cnsl #project #projectplanning #projectengineering #projectmanagement

Sodium hypochlorite is mainly used in Poultry water sanitation. When dissolved in water Sodium hypochlorite mainly forms hypochlorous acid: Cl2 + H2O ⇌ HOCl + HCl. *Disinfecting power of hypochlorous acid is 100 times greater than that of hypochlorite. So, **The goal is to ensure that hypochlorous acid (HOCl) does not dissociate and can act as a disinfectant in drinking water** HClO ⇌ H+ + ClO-. pH effect on HOCL dissociation •pH ≤ 5:no dissociation of HOCl •pH > 7.5 50% of the HOCl is converted into hypochlorite (ClO-) • very basic pH (10): 100% of the chlorine is converted into the hypochlorite ion •Ideal water pH and chlorine at bird level •pH=5.5-6.5 •Chlorine =2-3 ppm

𝙌31 Ca and P When balancing the rations of dairy cows, in what condition does phosphorus hinder the absorption of calcium? Another question: What is the way in which phosphorus hinders the absorption of calcium within the body of cow? I did not find data indicating the impact of calcium and phosphorous ratios impacting dairy cattle. I suggest feeding the recommended levels of each mineral. Years ago, the ratio of calcium to phosphorous was recommend to be in the range of 1.2 to 3.0 (calcium : phosphorous). But, I cannot a reference for this concept. #NutriMoo 🌾🐄
