A "mission statement" ≠ ministry impact. Here's the premise: 👇 If your church DOESN'T make a statement within your community, a tagline you half-heartedly know NEVER will. To be clear, I'm not advising against a mission statement. In fact, I support strong mission statements. But a lot of ministries are declining. - They don't have a reputation for impact in their city - They don't have a leadership development strategy - They don't have a compelling vision for their people So, here's two action items: 1. If your ministry has hit a plateau, focus on creating impact by doing. Focus on the tactics, the relationships, the boots on the ground. 2. If your ministry is growing, but you want to invest in your future, prioritize strategic planning and sit down with your ELT and Board to develop a Vision roadmap.
