There was this party I attended around April or so. The Host had spent money renting a large hall, and food of different varieties and drinks were all available. the event was scheduled to start at 10 am but you know Nigerian Time let's add 1 to 2 more hours to it. When I arrived a few minutes past 10 am the hall was next to empty it was just the vendors and a few close relatives that were around. 11 a.m. came we still hadn't started, at 12pm after waiting for more guests they decided to start the event. In a hall of about 600 capacity, we were barely 50 people. We started to question the host, Did they not invite people? how come people are not turning up? maybe they are not so good people? or they don't have people? Mind you this is a party for fun, not a conference or training, people always show up for this at least to merry. The planner gave a resonating response, "How did they invite their guests"? You don't just throw an invitation Picture in your group chat and expect that you have invited people. Even If you do, do you get confirmation of their availability to attend? At about 6 pm there was still 5 coolers of hot Jollof Rice with like 3 coolers of meat, swallow and other variety of food. The Host wasted resources.
