Children in our School Age Program learned how to make tortillas from scratch today. They carefully mixed the corn masa with water to get the right consistency, then pressed them flat into circles before baking to perfection. The Farm to Casa initiative engages kids to learn hands-on about what we put in our bodies, our culture, our heritage — and that food doesn't just magically appear in a grocery store! #CasaCentral

Where's the best fast-food fry? Send recommendations, please. Having had McDonald's and Wendy's recently on a road trip...Wendy's fries now > McDonald's fries. I could turn this into a traditional LinkedIn post about how this is actually a super relevant business thing; Wendy's has had to innovate whereas McDonald's has maybe taken its position as the top creator of fries for granted... ...but those posts are dumb. What's important is finding the best fast-food fry.
I hope this clip doesn't cause Kat Gillis to be kicked out of America, or at least Idaho. No fast food? Not even fries? What's your go-to for fast-food fries? #frontporch

Where did the recipe chicken and dumplings come from? Chicken and dumplings. Some sources say that chicken and dumplings originated in the Southern United States during the antebellum era and was considered a mainstay during harsh economic times. One of the earliest versions of the recipe was cornmeal dumplings cooked with turnip greens. Chicken and Dumplings Was Originally A German Dish. While some food historians date the beginnings of chicken and dumplings back to the South during the Great Depression when food was scarce and resources needed to be stretched, most disagree and say these types of recipes go back much farther to Eastern European Southern Kitchen Most claim the American South, or some might claim French Canadian roots. Some say what we know as American chicken and dumplings started as a cornmeal-based dough, boiled on top of turnip greens.

Who doesn’t like the idea of pizza, robots and delivery drivers? They all go hand-in-hand! I’m on a journey, telling the story of trying to integrate all three. Lots of tech, some drama.
Microgreens have become the unexpected differentiator in my Mamma Ramona's Pizzeria. Customers are asking for them to take home, to eat as a replacement to potato’s chips and junk food; or to add to their own salads and sandwiches. And because we use them in our own recipes, we can authentically say we are farm-to-table. We can grow up to 280 trays at any given time. We net about $25 profit per tray, and 20 trays make up a rack. A rack is under $500 to build, and you can grow 1-3 crops per month per tray, depending on what you grow. Start small; grow what you need for the kitchen. But once you get hooked, you’ll be like me, looking to see how to incorporate more of this into everything that you do. Shawn P. Bacon, eggs, and your team, what does this have to do with anything? I'll tell you; it has to do with everything in your team. Bacon, everybody loves bacon. Mm-mm good. Anything cooked with bacon makes it that much better. However, when it comes to your team, bacon, they're the fully committed ones. They're the ones that show up. They're the ones who will do what it takes to help you take your organization to the next level. You see, bacon comes from the pig and that pig is fully committed. To make the bacon, that's one less pig on this earth. Now, eggs, the chicken's less than half in. The chicken lays an egg. That egg, we boil it, we scramble it, we fry it. We like our eggs. These are... READ MORE HERE - https://lnkd.in/ey3dpUmY

"I've exhausted all my resources and can't find an answer!" - Me attempting to figure out the best thin-cut bacon for a BLT and best way to cook it. With our tomato plants about to explode, I've been attempting to perfect the BLT at-home. I've got the miso mayo down (white miso paste + Kewpie mayo), will have perfect tomatoes here soon, but I haven't found the right bacon. I did multiple Google searches, read multiple Reddit, Inc. threads, read numerous recipes including the Serious Eats one -- but no actual recommendations for thin-cut bacon brands I can by in a grocery store that will result in that crispy, crunchy bacon. What do I do once I've exhausted all my go-to resources? I ask people I know. So LinkedIn network, do you have the answer to my all-important question?
