While I have some thoughts about the ILC grants process, I will share those thoughts at a different time. Right now I am very glad Kiind were successful in getting an Individual Capacity Building ILC grant so our team, including the amazing Teresa Dixon, can help WA children with disability and their families through the significant changes that are coming.

We are excited to announce that Kiind has been selected as one of the successful recipients of the Australian Government's Information Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) program!    Through the ILC program, we can focus on critical transition points for children with disability, ensuring they receive the support they need, when they need it. With this funding, Kiind can provide our members with one-to-one navigation, family peer mentorship, and capacity building training.   This support will enable us to:   🟣 Connect parents and carers across WA, including those in regional and remote areas 🟣 Increase parent and carer capability to navigate disability and other systems within the sector 🟣 Empower families to access the services and supports their children need 🟣 Build parent and carer knowledge of disability rights and self-advocacy, fostering greater independence   We are grateful for this opportunity to continue making a meaningful impact on the lives of families raising children with disability.
