Despite the fact your customer service is deplorable.
Today we announced Verizon‘s 2023 2Q earnings. We delivered another solid quarter, where we continued to advance across all of our strategic key performance indicators: Wireless Service Revenue, Adjusted EBITDA and Free Cash Flow growth. From the launch of myPlan, to important private network wins and continued broadband growth, we are bringing the power of America’s best network to more people every day. The actions we are taking to accelerate growth are working and I could not be prouder of our #VTeam for their continued commitment to serving our stakeholders and delivering results. A few key highlights as we head into 3Q: ☑️Our segmented and disciplined approach to the market is working in Wireless. ☑️The combination of FWA and Fios is winning in broadband as we capitalize on the unique strengths and capabilities of both technologies. ☑️Our network leadership is only getting stronger as we continue to roll-out C-Band.

MY LATEST Mike Sievert and John Stankey – heated rivals in the US wireless industry – share at least one belief: They can handle the impact from cable. "It's tough to be a price leader forever," said Stankey, the CEO of AT&T, during a recent investor event. Stankey was responding to a question about the inexpensive mobile offerings – including a free line of service – from some US cable companies. "Just giving away a line for free isn't necessarily going to be sustainable," he said. Sievert, the CEO of T-Mobile, offered a similar take in his own comments at the investor event. "Yes, it's more competitive now," he said about the wireless industry. But that's partly due to T-Mobile's merger with Sprint, he added, arguing that T-Mobile is somewhat "insulated" from that competition because of the expansive 5G network the company now operates. Neither executive indicated any major changes to their overall financial outlooks for the second half of 2023. "I feel very comfortable with where the business is right now, and comfortable that those [customer] volumes and what we're seeing are going to be supportive of what we've guided to," Stankey said. Said Sievert: "It's a stable environment where we're performing really well." https://lnkd.in/gbCBUXji?

"As an Ericsson employee, I agree with the recent analysis of our Vonage acquisition, which may be one of the worst in our history. This highlights an urgent need for a strategic pivot. With our stock and shareholder returns at a 7-year low, it’s crucial that we adopt a more prudent approach to acquisitions and focus on value creation. Our employees should not suffer due to these decisions. It's time for a change in strategy and decision-making to benefit Ericsson and its dedicated workforce, shareholders, and customers. #Ericsson #Telecom #Strategy #Leadership"

Verizon Communications Inc., commonly known as Verizon, is a leading American telecommunications company with a rich history of success and innovation. Here's a summary of their success story: Formation and Early Growth (2000s): Verizon was formed in 2000 through the merger of Bell Atlantic and GTE Corp. This merger created one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States. In the early 2000s, Verizon focused on expanding its network infrastructure, improving customer service, and offering a wide range of telecommunications services, including landline and mobile phone services, broadband internet, and television. Wireless Leadership: Verizon's wireless division, Verizon Wireless, became a key driver of the company's success. With a strong focus on network quality and coverage, Verizon Wireless consistently ranked highly in customer satisfaction surveys. The introduction of the iPhone in 2007 and the subsequent smartphone boom further boosted Verizon's wireless business. 4G and LTE Deployment: Verizon was an early adopter of 4G LTE (Long-Term Evolution) technology. The company invested heavily in deploying a nationwide 4G network, which offered faster data speeds and better reliability. This move positioned Verizon as a leader in mobile data services. Expansion into Fiber Optic Broadband: Verizon invested in fiber optic technology with its FiOS (Fiber Optic Service) initiative. FiOS offered high-speed internet, television, and phone services over a fiber-optic network, providing customers with faster and more reliable connections. Innovations and Acquisitions: Verizon continued to innovate and expand its services through acquisitions. Notable acquisitions included AOL in 2015 and Yahoo in 2017, which aimed to bolster Verizon's digital media and advertising capabilities. 5G Leadership: Verizon has been at the forefront of the 5G revolution. The company invested heavily in rolling out 5G networks across the United States, providing faster and more reliable wireless connectivity. This investment has positioned Verizon as a leader in the race to 5G dominance. Financial Performance: Over the years, Verizon has consistently delivered strong financial performance, generating significant revenue and profit. Their ability to maintain a healthy balance sheet and invest in network infrastructure has been a key factor in their success. Adaptation to Changing Markets: Verizon has adapted to changing market dynamics, including shifts in consumer preferences and advances in technology. They've diversified their business to offer a wide range of services, from traditional telecommunications to digital media and IoT (Internet of Things) solutions. #Verizon #TelecomGiant #WirelessServices #Broadband #MergersAndAcquisitions #DigitalConnectivity #Telecommunications #TechHistory #BusinessAchievements DAAZ Connect Digitally LinkedIn
