The more we talk, the more we learn. Endometriosis is a prime example of how even in a modern, progressive country there is still a significant healthcare inequality. Sadly, being sold the idea that debilitating period pains are a “normal women’s problems” is still rife amongst GP practices. This is a huge contributing factor that leads to an average diagnosis time of 7.5 years, despite being the second largest gynaecological condition in the UK. Clearly, more education and awareness is needed to help so many women get the answers and help they need. This interview is a promising step in the right direction in not only raising awareness, but hopefully in giving courage to more women who are fighting everyday for their diagnosis. #coulditbeendometriosis? #endometriosisawareness #endometriosis
Thank you @SkyNews for much needed awareness raising about endometriosis. Many have period pain, but if your pain is interfering with day to day activities, @EndometriosisUK recommend you ask your doctor about it - could it be #endometriosis?

#EndometriosisAwarenessWeek is upon us! Did you know 1 in 10 women fight a battle with endometriosis, yet it's barely in common conversations? 🔎 By the Pulse numbers: - 23% of Brits have a solid understanding of endometriosis - 41% have heard whispers but don't know the details - 13% are completely unaware of the condition - 50% don't know about the gruelling 7-10 year journey to diagnosis 💭 How can we increase awareness? 63% vote for public health campaigns as the top awareness driver, with social media and education not far behind. #endometriosis #endometriosisawareness

It’s been years we’ve been advocating and raising awareness about xylazine. It’s been three years we’ve offered Updated overdose reversal trainings & xylazine training. We’ve had over 20 networks cover the story & our calls to action. I’ve met with politicians, doctors, organizations & even the White House. This year I attended so many xylazine workshops. None of them invited Savage Sisters Recovery, Inc to the table. Or people who have been on the ground handling this since day one. No new information. No answers to my questions. We stopped begging for saving. We stop asking for the impossible. We changed our narrative. We’re working on convincing the powers that be that we are WORTH SAVING. And we’re still waiting. For running water. We’re still waiting for public restrooms. We’re still without showers. The wounds are worse. The dope supply is now 99% xylazine. We’re still burying our friends. So I ask. In a first world country, how many more years must we wait for running water? If you haven’t been trained on xylazine. Do it. If you haven’t had an UPDATED overdose reversal training. Sign up. Email: liddy@savagesisters.org Donate. Share. Get trained. Send help. We desperately need it. And if your city is at the beginning of this public health crisis. Get prepared. And brace yourself. I hope your community responds with a sense of urgency. #staysavage #wedorecover #xylazine #overdoseawareness #philly #safesupply

LinkedIn Top Voice 👐 | Mental Health America & PA Peer Support Coalition Award Winner🥇 | Celebrated 2 X #1 Best-Seller & Pulitzer Contender 📚 | Renowned Addiction Intervention Expert 🛠️ | Pioneer in SUD Education 🌱
This post is an eye-opener 🚨! For years, tireless advocacy and awareness campaigns on xylazine have been led by dedicated individuals and groups like Savage Sisters Recovery, Inc 🤝. Despite extensive coverage and high-level meetings, even with the White House 🏛️, the crucial voices of those with firsthand experience are being overlooked at workshops and discussions. Your commitment to shifting the narrative and demanding that society recognizes everyone as 'WORTH SAVING' is a powerful stance 💪. The harsh reality you've depicted—where basic needs like running water 💧, public restrooms 🚻, and showers 🚿 are still a dream, while the drug supply becomes increasingly contaminated with xylazine—paints a stark picture of neglect and urgency. It’s a bitter truth that, even in a first-world country, the struggle for such fundamental resources continues 🌐. The community's suffering, worsened by this veterinary tranquilizer turned street drug, is a public health emergency 🚑. Let this post be a clarion call 📣: If you're not yet trained on xylazine or updated on overdose reversal, now's the time to do so ⏰. Education and action can no longer wait 🛑. Reshare to educate, and let's unite to make a change. Every effort counts ✊. #XylazineCrisis #TakeAction #EducationIsKey #CommunityHealth #SavageSisters #OverdosePrevention #ChangeMakers #HealthCrisisFirstResponder
