Embracing professionalism in every situation costs nothing, yet it speaks volumes about who we are. This year has been a journey of unexpected turns for me. I transitioned from a near six-figure job to managing a local pizza place, and then to working on a factory line. When the factory job ended, I embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, dedicating myself to learning and finding stable employment beyond freelance work. I see this phase not as a setback, but as my current full-time job - a quest for new opportunities. I choose not to dwell on these changes negatively on social media or anywhere else. Why? Because it's about maintaining a professional attitude even in the face of adversity. It's about recognizing that life isn't always fair, but how we respond to these challenges defines us. I firmly believe that the next company to hire me is making an excellent decision. They aren't just getting an employee; they are making a sound investment in someone who knows the value of hard work. My journey shows that I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves, dive into any task, and ensure the well-being of my family, no matter the circumstances. In the military, we had a saying: "Adapt and overcome." This mantra isn't just about enduring tough times; it's about growing through them. It's about transforming challenges into opportunities for leadership and learning. To those who might feel targeted by my words, I offer my sincere apologies. My intention is to highlight a perspective: companies value results and resilience. Life's fairness, or lack thereof, isn't the focus. What truly matters is our ability to rise every time we fall and to continue fighting with determination and grace. Remember, it's not just about how many times we get knocked down; it's about how we stand up, dust ourselves off, and keep moving forward with renewed strength and purpose.

Everyone looks at them, reads their post and thinks "oh poor them" But does F*ck all to help them and just carries on with their day, happily scrolling through their feed and laughing at someone slipping on some ice! Maybe try Liking, Commenting, Reposting..... It all helps and costs nothing! THE POST I NEVER WANTED TO WRITE Memorial Health included me in their mass layoff last week. My role was one that I was passionate about, great at, and desperately needed in. I am devastated to think of all that is lost with this decision. While I am grieving (y’all know how much of my heart and soul I’ve poured into this work), I am also holding on to so many of our collective “wins”. We raised awareness of the intersection between health and incarceration, leading to recidivism rates far below the national average. We’ve developed and implemented tangible strategies to end homelessness, resulting in increased funding for the first time in a decade and better access to healthcare; and we mobilized Community Health Workers to connect folks with primary care physicians and to meet their social drivers of health needs - just to name a few. It has been my absolute pleasure to work with so many of you to effect positive change in our community. With that said, I am officially “open to work”. I’m looking for businesses or organizations that are committed to positive social impact and center authenticity, equity, quality, and innovation… one’s who want their people to thrive and challenge each other to reach our highest potential and greatest collective impact. I have so much to offer.
