Heirloom Carbon Technologies announces a $475 million investment to establish North America's second Direct Air Capture facility in Louisiana 📍 🌱 The project will create 81 new jobs and support over 1,000 construction jobs. 🏗️ Construction will begin by the end of 2024 using innovative technology that enhances limestone's CO2-capturing ability. Leading the initiative, Shashank Samala, CEO and Co-Founder of Heirloom Carbon Technologies, said, "With these two facilities in northwest Louisiana, Heirloom is continuing its rapid progress in building one of the world's most affordable carbon removal solutions with the ability to scale to remove billions of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere." 🌎 What other regions could benefit from similar investments in carbon capture technology?
