Nobian has successfully completed the construction of a new salt well in Hvornum, Denmark. This is the first of three new salt caverns to be developed in the region. The new caverns are being built to maintain our current level of salt production as well as enabling future expansion. This will ensure the supply of salt to the plant in Denmark and, therefore, the supply of high-purity salt to the industry for chemical production. A few years back, we proposed the existence of 16 mineral deposit types or mineral systems across Europe within the context of the ProMine project, based on the database of mineral resources that we created at the time. Diverse approaches may lead to diverse suggestions from peers. But this is not the point. What matters is that various critical and strategic raw materials may be found in dynamic concentrations within the main and associated minerals that define the particular mineral systems described.

Late announcement: 3AWater has been awarded a grant from Finnish Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment Duration: 1/2023 – 2/2024 Total budget: 95 816 €; EU funding: 45 233 € Description: Multimetal Water Analysis System (MWAS) is a product of 3AWater Oy that can analyse metal contents of waters easily on-site. It offers remarkable benefits compared to currently used expensive and slow laboratory analyses, where results have to be waited even for weeks. The almost real-time data provided by MWAS enables more efficient water management in water utilizing industries such as mining and metal industry. The project aims to support the promising commercialization and internationalisation of the product by market and collaborator survey. The product is also developed further broadening the market potential.
