🌎 Biosphere Commitment Spotlight: Prince of Whales Whale & Marine Wildlife Adventures 🐳🚤
At Prince of Whales, whale-watching is only half the adventure. They are more than a whale watching and marine wildlife adventure organization. They are mariners, educators, entertainers, scientists, and conservationists. Prince of Whales is focused on sharing the beautiful and breathtaking coastal waters of British Columbia, its vibrant wildlife, and its rich history.
Sustainability is key to the success of their business. Prince of Whales views marine life as an extension of their organization and their team, which is why they are committed to safe, environmentally conscious whale and marine wildlife viewing. They educate their guests about why it is important to protect the environment, where these animals live, and how safe and responsible whale watching aids in the sustainability of these waters.
Every day they share their whale, dolphin, and porpoise sightings with the BC Cetacean Sightings Network, a conservation and research program that leverages sighting data to help protect at-risk species. Prince of Whales is also the sole sponsor of Ocean Wise's Resident Killer Whale research, assisting them with their groundbreaking study on the creatures' diets and behaviours, to ensure this endangered ecotype recovers and thrives in our waters.
They have a list a mile long of the sustainability and community projects they participate in including being a certified Climate Positive company, being a member of 1% For the Planet, donating to a myriad of local charities, and now being Biosphere Committed!
