Last night we hosted the launch of Best Places to Work, a ground-breaking new programme that aims to support New Zealand to be the best place to work in the world.   We are delighted to be partnering with Best Places to Work as the Foundation Sponsor because we know the employee experience matters in business. What do Gandalf, Yoda, and M have in common? They were mentors. The Economist recently published this great piece on "How to get the most out of mentoring." With the upcoming launch of mentors @LifeScience ORG early next year, we're sharing our favorite takeaways: - You can never be too old or too senior to benefit from mentoring. Even the most successful people have someone they can learn from. - Mentoring is a relationship. Chemistry and regard for the mentor is more important than age gaps and background. - Working from home (at least part-time) is here to stay, meaning there's opportunity to take advantage of virtual mentoring. - The best mentoring relationships are always a two-way street.
