This is How You Learn Gospel Piano by Ear Are you ready to transition from reading music to playing piano by ear? In this video, I share why setting aside the score is crucial for developing your auditory skills. At Piano Lesson with Warren, I emphasize the importance of relying on your ears rather than sheet music, akin to removing training wheels to truly learn to balance. eep Your Gospel Piano Skills Sharp With These Motivation Tips! The video discusses the importance of patience in musical growth, emphasizing how this mindset applies broadly to all aspects of life. I reflected on my 20-year journey with music, highlighting a pivotal shift in perspective: treating music not as a destination to be conquered but as a lifelong journey integral to who I am. This realization allowed me to embrace patience, find joy in learning, and detach from the urgency to achieve specific milestones. Through my experiences and conversations with students, I've learned that the duration it takes to master a piece of music is less important than the enjoyment and engagement with the process. My advice, rooted in personal experience and observation, encourages viewing musical practice and progress as part of a broader, enriching life experience rather than a series of accomplishments to be hurried through. This approach fosters a deeper connection with music and promotes sustained growth and fulfillment.

Broadening the choice of musical instruments in a school music program can make a huge difference in children's musical experiences. Unfortunately, many elementary school music curricula limit music education to singing and recorders. By broadening the available resources, children can have a better chance of finding musical choices that suit their interests and learning needs, thereby increasing student engagement. Let's give our young learners the opportunity to explore their musical passions and talents. #MusicEducation #ElementarySchoolCurriculum #MusicalInstruments
