We’ve been at the heart of research into #CervicalCancer since the late 1950s ❤ It all started when we pioneered one of the earliest UK cervical screening studies which led to the cervical screening smear test. Since then, we've proven that nearly 100% of cervical cancers are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), showed that we can change the way we use existing drugs to reduce the risk of cervical cancer returning and found that people who’ve had the HPV vaccine could need fewer cervical screens. We're making progress, step by step. That's the impact of #CRUKscience 👇 #CervicalScreeningAwarenessWeek
My undergraduate studies have centered on the identification of macrofungi through morphological and molecular approaches, providing me with a diverse skill set in laboratory techniques, including fungal taxonomy, molecular phylogenetics, mushroom cultivation, DNA extraction, PCR, DNA sequencing, microscopy, and phylogenetic analysis. Additionally, I conducted research on the green synthesis of manganese nanoparticles from a wild mushroom, exploring its anticancer activities.
Thanks for the useful information! 👍🤝👏
