#Alcohol causes more than 6,000 deaths per year in #Ontario, as well as hundreds of emergency department visits per day. The evidence is clear: Ontario’s plan to expand alcohol retail will result in increased consumption, more deaths, and more ED visits – putting further strain on an already overburdened health care system.

That’s not true those who drink too much will continue to drink too much it’s comes down to does he have the disease of addiction or does he not, the ones who drink responsibly will continue to drink responsibly no matter where it’s sold. CAMH knows this there trying to get money from some people who oppose this switch, they should be careful you don’t bite the hand that feeds you, you keep up opposing it a lot of people will be losing there jobs

Is it just from alcohol alone? With all the substances that people use these days, including prescription and over the counter remedies, plus the legalization of cannabis, could this not all play a part in these increased numbers. Particularly when combined. We know now that chemicals cause cancers as well as any number of health issues, including liver damage, and brain damage, so the more we ingest, inject, and inhale the more unhealthy we become and increase our risk of death.

There is no health without mental health and no mental health without spiritual health! We need to be clear about our values individually and collectively 🙏🏾

Availablility and other social factors have a huge influence on consumption with high morbidity and mortality related to alcohol 😢😥
