HEPA filters are a key component in controlling air quality within airborne infection isolation rooms. They come in various forms. For example, global air filtration specialist We offer HEPA air filter panels for terminal filtration in panel configurations and box-type HEPA filters which are often installed as the final stage of filtration in HVAC systems. -> https://okt.to/iY9c74 #HEPAFilters #IsolationRoomAirHandling #CamfilAirFilters #CleanAirMatters

According to the International Health Guidelines, HEPA filters are recommended for both supply and exhaust air in isolation rooms. Ideally, air from AIIRs (Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms) should be directly exhausted to the outdoors. -> https://okt.to/mr51g6. #HEPAFilters #IsolationRoomAirHandling #IsolationRoomAirFiltration #CamfilAirFilters #CleanAirMatters

NEW BLOG POST: HEPA filters are vital in isolation rooms, with medical-grade HEPA filters outperforming other types by removing 99.9% of particles as small as 0.3 µm. Although less efficient filters can be used effectively as prefilters, HEPA filters are the cornerstone for eradicating airborne pathogens from an airborne infection isolation room. -> https://okt.to/eYcTCZ. #HEPAAirFilters #AirborneInfection #IsolationRooms #IsolationRoomAirHandling #IsolationRoomAirFiltration #CamfilAirFilters #CleanAirMatters

Many studies find that cleaning is a vital component of the intervention package required to reduce healthcare-associated infection (HAI). Enhanced cleaning is nearly always incorporated into an infection-control strategy in response to an outbreak. #infectioncontrol #hospital #healthcare #facilities https://lnkd.in/gfU6PWTe

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗞 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 CO2 measurements suggest ventilation rate is usually • adequate but reduces under adverse weather. • Additional measures such as air cleaning may be needed during outbreaks. Very interesting study just out in pre proof on ventilation and air quality in care homes. Some real nuance in the findings here. 📓Worth a read all the way through. Would like to see this extended to include more pollutants and through a complete heating season. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲! In summary, natural ventilation is a bit crap in nursing homes if you want to guarantee good ventilation and will probably struggle with infection control. You get away with it some of the time, more in single occupancy rooms, not so much in communal areas. https://lnkd.in/e8-ednRx Cath Noakes Tim Sharpe Grainne McGill Kishwer Abdul Khaliq, Dr. -Ing.
