Dynamic Accomplished Leader in Telecommunication Engineering, Consulting, Marketing, and Real Estate | Driving Innovation and Delivering Exceptional Results
In organizations that depend on volunteers, it's essential to wholeheartedly appreciate the individuals who generously give their time, as well as the invaluable contributions they make. When this appreciation is genuinely expressed, remarkable achievements become possible. However, if such recognition is lacking, unintended consequences may arise. Embracing and celebrating the selflessness of volunteers not only leads to positive outcomes but also fosters a sense of fulfillment and unity within the organization, creating a win-win scenario for everyone involved. Have you had experiences where you were not valued as a volunteer, conversely have you been valued as a volunteer? What was the outcome in both cases?

Ever wonder about the best approach to decision making? As a leader within the nonprofit sector, it is crucial to understand when to take charge and when to seek input; when to guide and when to listen. There exist three distinct styles of decision-making: authoritarian, collaborative and democratic. Each approach has its own advantages and disadvantages and over time, nonprofit leaders are likely to utilize all three methods. Regardless of the decision-making style chosen, it is essential to provide thorough explanations for all significant decisions. A deeper exploration of each approach will be conducted next week.
