Neuromorphic computing is a term coined by Carver Mead in the 1980s. (He is also credited with naming Moore’s Law). It means computers modelled more closely on mammalian brains than standard architectures, and a key element is the sparse firing of artificial neurons. https://lnkd.in/d6Vi43m7
