For those interested in the state of the coronial service, the Chief Coroner's report considers what has been achieved in the past decade. Whilst there is no surprise in noting that the service is under resourced and delays are common, there have been positives, such as the introduction of the area coroner, greater consistency across areas, and improved technology. It is worth a read to learn more about progress made since the implementation of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.

Do you have a Will? If so when is the last time you looked at it? We recommend reviewing your estate plan every 3 to 5 years.
Did you know that 66% of Americans do not have a Will and 62% of Americans do not have a living Will (a document spelling out whether they want life-sustaining medical care in case they are terminally in or incapacitated)? October is National Estate Planning Month. A good time to start planning or revisiting your Estate Plan!#NationalEstatePlanningMonth #estatelaw #probate

The Senate Select Committee report was released yesterday with 35 recommendations to address the oral health challenges across just about every part of the Australian community. It is great to see oral health practitioners ( Dental Hygienists, Dental Therapists and Oral Health Therapists) being recognized as a crucial part of the solutions to address the challenges. The creation of a Chief Dental and Oral Health Officer, an agency for oral health promotion and advocacy, the inclusion of oral health instructions and other preventive measures in Medicare, the incentives to promote tertiary oral heath education are all important and practical steps towards a long journey to address the decades of neglect. Let’s hope we see actions and not another report in the drawer. https://lnkd.in/gDisDd8z
