I keep seeing the term "Social Media Manager" being used as an umbrella role at companies, but a weekly reminder that: Social Media Manager =/= Video Editor Social Media Manager =/= YouTube Strategist Social Media Manager =/= TikTok Creator Social Media Manager =/= Email Marketing Manager Social Media Manager =/= PR Manager A talented Social Media Manager CAN do these things, but should they? Social media is probably your BIGGEST marketing channel, don't put all of that work onto one person. Effective teams that are prioritizing socials HIRE dedicated people for those additional roles/responsibilities. 👏
